20. Leafdanse

November 20, 2009

Leafdanse is the daughter of the West Wind and the North Wind.

She’s a faerie who is one of the ones responsible for the changing of the leaves in autumn.

That’s a great name for a daughter of the West Wind and the North Wind! I know who to blame now when I have to break out the rake every year… 🙂

I always, ever since I was a kid, thought it was cool the way the wind would whirl and swirl the leaves around so it looked like they were dancing their way to the ground.

I don’t generally think about it until I see it, and then it occurred to me that a faerie responsible for it would make a cool character.
