#16 Arthur Bebridge (The Regulator)

November 16, 2009

Arthur has the power to freeze people for a short period at will. He is also highly autistic, a condition that bith helps and hinders him in his job as a super hero.

Arthur works out obsessively. He also trains and studies combat techniques obsessively. As a result, he would be a formidable opponent even without his super power. On the down side he hates all physical contact, is shy and unhappy around people he doesn’t know and is massively obsessive compulsive. Often, once defeating a criminal, he will become deeply unhappy unless the villain is lying perfectly parallel to the edge of the pavement.

Although a tremendous crime fighter, Arthur finds almost every aspect of everyday life very difficult. He is aided in most tasks by his friends, the other members of his team.

Arthur wears a costume, but not to hide his identity, as is largely thought both by his friends and the public. It has never occurred to him that other people would not know who he is. He wears a costume because that’s what super heroes wear.

“he will become deeply unhappy unless the villain is lying perfectly parallel to the edge of the pavement.”

thanks 🙂 It was pretty damn hard to get a balance of it being a bit funny, while not taking the piss out of autism. I think making him really rather hard makes up for quite a lot.
