#11 – Paladin Brigade: Karen Madison

November 11, 2009

Karen Madison

Psi-Sensitive Human with limited “general” abilities.

Karen is a computer tech who’s helped design code for several video games but never played a single one. She got into it once she flunked a semester in college and needed to find work that would be local so she could keep her apartment and also pay for the next semester which her parents didn’t plan on paying for until she payed for a semester her self now upon the failure.Paladin_Brigade_Image

Eventually she ended up on a project that would be purchased by the federal government and applied to the Paladin Project. She went with the project and soon found herself far to busy to write code any longer, what with being inside a Guardian pod. Karen is extremely satisfied to work in the cutting edge of technology while saving the world. Unfortunately some of the work the BRIGADE does is a little more “gray” than she’d like. She’s not interested in lots of espionage or cloak and dagger. Deep down she’s SURE that both her controllers and her Paladin know that….

    pretty neat.
how many artists do you have working for you?

I HAD one person working for me. His name is J.C. Grande (he signed this one and he must not have signed the other one or god forbid I took it off for some reason). He’s great and I really like his style. I chose him after placing an ad for an artist on Digital Webbing for which I received over 200+ artists who wanted to work for a paying job. All great in their own way.

I’m going to put PB up in Zuda (I only hope that I haven’t over exposed it) and if we win I’ll be using 95% of the winnings to pay J.C. for more pages…

I like the style of this character. What’s really striking to me is that it’s like the interior lines and exterior have a reversed priority from the conventional darker external, lighter internal approach.

I’m intrigued by the character concept. It’s a fun surprise that she didn’t play the video games she programmed, seems like she just did it for the money. That leaves me curious: is money all she’s after or is it the joy of coding she digs?

It WAS all for the money at first but coding got to her. Now with the Brigade she gets to code for armored gods…:)
