#9. Eve

November 9, 2009

EveEve is another accomplished warrior fighting (as if you had to guess given her skimpy attire) for the Man Eaters.  She is one of the few gladiators who fights with a permanent power neutralizer.  The reason being, her power is the ability to travel through time and space.  And well, that’s just too dangerous a power to allow any super human to possess in this day and age.

Still, Eve is a formidable opponent in the Colosseum.  Her powers first manifested as a child, and she was unable to control them.  She found herself frequently time traveling from one hostile time period to the next- Feudal Japan, Europe during the Crusades, Ancient Sparta, and myriad wartorn futures.  As a result, she learned to fight and fight well.  She’s a master of many different styles, and as skilled with weaponry as anyone in the league.  By the time she reached womanhood, she not only mastered her time traveling powers, but was a veteran in more than 12 wars across more than thirty centuries.

While she fights with passion and bravado in the Colosseum, Eve is one of a secret cabal of CLA gladiators, many of whom were heroes in the pre-cataclysm days, who are determined to right the wrongs that have led the world to it’s current state, and plan to shatter the current superpower industrial complex.  Her time traveling ability will be a key component to their master plan.  She just needs to wait until the time is right.

Oh, and survive.  That too.

I like a strong woman. Eve got sum junk in da trunk. Good to see she’s using the Colosseum to relieve her itchy butt, she could be saying “Aaaaah, that’s better” 😀

Is she really that big or is that symbolic?

good design. you have a lot of strength in the pose and camera angle.
the shield arm is a little weak, but the rest of the drawing, especially the face, is well done.

you design characters i would want to read about. very 70s-80s marvel.
this one in particular smacks of Mike Grell.
    fantastic job!

Dig it. I like the err…backside view 🙂 the face is nice and polished but i agree with LilMike on the shield arm and Mike Grell. Definitely has that feel – methinks it’s the linework.
