#10- Paladin Brigade: Dalton Isaacs

November 9, 2009

Dalton Isaacs

Psi-Sensitive Human with limited “general” abilities.

Dalton was a police officer when his powers manifested. He had a robust, but not overly crime infested, beat on the boardwalk. This was perfect for Dalton as he’s a bit of an adrenalin freak. His primary mode of transportation is a motorcycle (if you don’t count the old Land Rover he keeps in storage), he’s into para-sailing, bicycle riding and loves the “openness” of the boardwalk neighborhood.

Dalton’s father John was an arson investigator for the city fire department, his mother taught piano and ball room dancing on the side but never opened up a studio or made a business of it. He was home schooled until middle school and wasn’t exposed to 80s culture (like music or television) as his parents never changed the radio dial from the “oldies” station and rarely watched television.

Dalton grew up a lifetime volunteer firefighter and assisted his father with investigations from time to time because he found it so fascinating. Dalton has a strong sense for what is right and wrong, and when he sees bad people doing bad things he wants to get involved. This inspired him to join the police department.Paladin_Brigade_Image

Four years into his career Dalton was inducted into a FBI/NSA/POLICE task force due largely to the patrol beat he’d been asigned to. It was only eight months later that he’d been given a field promotion to investigator and was undercover before his first year on the task force. Once involved with the Psilent he was quickly inaugurated into their culture, including being modified so that he too would have abilities. While it was handy to have a psi on the task force for a while, the investigation eventually changed due to political preasure and Dalton was left out in the cold.

As if they new in advance, representatives for the Paladin Brigade reached out to Dalton three days before he was to be terminated or resign from the force. Being a cop, serving the law and the community, meant a lot to Dalton. The position with the Paladin Brigade was a no brainer, he jumped at the chance and only regrets that he’s basically now back in the academy after four years out on the street.

I totally agree – the inkwork here is really nice! Some of the best I’ve seen and utterly pro.

That’s because it’s J.C. Grande’s work and not mine which is considerably amateurish in comparison :). Tomorrow’s post will have his signature on it…
