Aaron Mundaris, Master Gaiacept

Mundaris is a Gaiacept, master of controlling the plant life of the planet. Gaiacepts are rare and treated with tremendous respect by the Haptikos society.

30 years ago, Mundaris was married to another Gaiacept, Collette DeGrazzi. It was a tumultuous relationship that ended quite badly. Ended in Mundaris accidentally killing DeGrazzi.

Since then, he’s withdrawn from the Haptikos society, a decision that has only increased his public profile to that of near celebrity among the Haptikos. He travels from region to region doing what work needs be done for various cities. However he’s getting old and tires quickly.

Mundaris has a strong physical, spiritual and magical connection to a strange copse of trees in the heart of Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis. The copse is well hidden, and rarely found by anyone who is not supposed to find it.

Anthony Berenger is searching for this cluster of trees, driven to find it by his mother.

Aaron Mundaris is a character from For The Trees, a large and unwieldy collection of index cards, outlines and snippets of dialogue that will one day be a graphic novel. I hope.

Interesting and mysterious sounding story! Wish I had plants that handled my snacks like that on College Game Day…
