#3 Rev Samantha Beck

November 3, 2009

Samantha was born to mildly religious and very traditional parents. Her father was a lawyer and her mother stayed at home to look after her.  At 17 she started university, studying physics. Not long in, however, she decided that the convoluted and bonkers nature of quantum physics was more than enough proof for the existence of god, and quickly changed her degree to divinity.

Upon leaving university Samantha joined the Church of Scotland and it wan not long until she became a minister.

Samantha is an active feminist and campaigner in several humanitarian organizations. Her strong views have gained her many enemies in the more conservative factions of the church, rather a lot of whom do not like the idea of female ministers in the first place.

Samantha also has the power to read and alter people’s emotional state.  She keeps this power a secret and rarely uses it however,  as there are members of the church who would see this, and all examples of Augmented Capabilities,  as the work of the devil.

sorry about the poor image quality today – I’m hopeless at inking or colouring anything that isn’t super-cartoony.
